Why Tallow?
At Rickety Bridge Soap Emporium, every batch of whipped tallow butter is created with care and intention. Tallow is one of nature’s most skin-friendly moisturizers, deeply nourishing and remarkably similar to the oils our own skin produces. By sourcing suet locally and rendering it myself, I not only create a more sustainable product but also save these valuable fats from being wasted.
To start off this beautiful product, I traveled to a local farm to purchase some beef suet to render at home. After bringing it home, it is rendered down into a beautiful, buttery scented, rich tallow. I take a portion of this wonderfully moisturizing tallow and place it in a double boiler, along with freshly dried beautiful vanilla beans purchased from a co-op, organic lavender flowers, rose petals, organic chamomile, red raspberry leaf, homegrown lemon balm, home grown calendula flowers, frankincense resin, on top of my toasty wood stove to infuse. After it has infused and been strained, add a bit of beautiful golden jojoba oil, rich red raspberry seed oil, nourishing castor oil, a bit of arrowroot powder, and a blend of wonderfully aromatic essential oils, and blend it to produce this light, fluffy, skin loving whipped butter.

*Please note that this is an herbal infusion so scents can be light and subtle to some. I strive to make products for all preferences and with purpose. These particular products are made mostly for the benefit of the herbs more so than for their scents

All of my tallow products here at Rickety Bridge Soap Emporium are made in small batches. I have created each recipe from scratch, picking the perfect combinations of oils to make a well-balanced product. I source my fats locally, allowing us to reduce our carbon footprint. I render down these fats myself to use in my various recipes. This saves these fats from being sent to a landfill.

PACKAGING:
Whipped tallow comes in a 4 fl oz amber glass jar with label, listing it's individual ingredients. I use minimal packaging whenever I can, to help reduce the amount of waste that goes into shipping. Reusable and recyclable shredded paper is used in my packages, and occasionally I use biodegradable packing peanuts. Glass jar can be washed and reused.
