Crafted in small batches with deep respect for traditional skincare, this nourishing whipped butter begins with suet sourced from a local farm. Rendered slowly at home, the suet becomes a golden, vitamin-rich tallow—long cherished for its ability to soften, soothe, and deeply hydrate the skin.

To enhance its restorative qualities, the tallow is gently infused with hand-harvested calendula petals and wild plantain leaves. Known as time-honored herbs for skin wellness, calendula brings calming, skin-rejuvenating properties while plantain offers gentle support for dry, irritated, or sensitive skin.

After a slow infusion and careful straining, the blend is whipped to airy perfection, creating a silky, lightweight butter that melts effortlessly upon contact. At Rickety Bridge Soap Emporium, every batch of whipped tallow butter is created with care and intention. Tallow is one of nature’s most skin-friendly moisturizers, deeply nourishing and remarkably similar to the oils our own skin produces. By sourcing suet locally and rendering it myself, I not only create a more sustainable product but also save these valuable fats from being wasted.

Notes on Use & Care

• Texture: Because this is a natural, preservative-free product, you may occasionally notice a light graininess. This is completely normal and does not affect performance.

• Temperature: Extreme heat or cold may cause changes in texture — from fluffy to more solid or melted. Simply store at room temperature for best results.

• Storage: Avoid introducing water into the jar to keep your butter fresh.

• Safety: Made only with skin-safe, non-toxic ingredients, but not intended for ingestion or internal use.

• Filling: Jars are hand-packed and may occasionally be slightly overfilled, resulting in a bit of butter on the lid.

Packaging

Each butter comes in a 4 ounce mason jar, labeled with ingredients and designed with simplicity and sustainability in mind. No inner seals, no excess plastic — just clean, reusable glass and minimal packaging. Orders are shipped with recyclable shredded paper and biodegradable packing peanuts whenever possible.

Natural Products & Weather

Because I don’t use stabilizers or preservatives, my products are truly natural—and a little more sensitive to temperature changes. Extreme heat may cause tallow butters to melt, while cold weather can cause them to freeze. If your butter arrives melted, simply pop it in the fridge for a few minutes to firm it up again. It may take on a slightly grainy texture after temperature changes, but rest assured, it’s still perfectly safe and wonderfully nourishing for your skin.
