Arnica & Yarrow Whipped Tallow Butter

To start off this beautiful product, I traveled to a local farm to purchase some beef suet to render at home. After bringing it home, it is rendered down into a beautiful, buttery scented, rich tallow. I take a portion of this wonderfully moisturizing tallow and blend with luxurious red raspberry seed oil, glorious golden Jojoba oil, & a bit of Castor oil. Then everything is whipped together to produce this light, fluffy, skin loving whipped butter.

Why Tallow?

At Rickety Bridge Soap Emporium, every batch of whipped tallow butter is created with care and intention. Tallow is one of nature’s most skin-friendly moisturizers, deeply nourishing and remarkably similar to the oils our own skin produces. By sourcing suet locally and rendering it myself, I not only create a more sustainable product but also save these valuable fats from being wasted.

Arnica:

 Long used in traditional herbalism, arnica is known for its ability to soothe overworked areas, ease tension, and help diminish the look of bruising or inflammation. Blended into tallow, it offers a naturally comforting touch for skin that needs a little extra care.

Yarrow: 

Yarrow has a long history of use for calming irritated skin, supporting natural repair, and helping reduce the look of redness and minor irritation. Its traditional reputation for cleansing, toning, and encouraging healthy-looking skin makes it a wonderful addition to nourishing tallow.

Notes on Use & Care

• Texture: Because this is a natural, preservative-free product, you may occasionally notice a light graininess. This is completely normal and does not affect performance.

• Temperature: Extreme heat or cold may cause changes in texture — from fluffy to more solid or melted. Simply store at room temperature for best results.

• Storage: Avoid introducing water into the jar to keep your butter fresh.

• Safety: Made only with skin-safe, non-toxic ingredients, but not intended for ingestion or internal use.

• Filling: Jars are hand-packed and may occasionally be slightly overfilled, resulting in a bit of butter on the lid.

Packaging

Each butter comes in a 4 ounce mason jar, labeled with ingredients and designed with simplicity and sustainability in mind. No inner seals, no excess plastic — just clean, reusable glass and minimal packaging. Orders are shipped with recyclable shredded paper and biodegradable packing peanuts whenever possible.

Natural Products & Weather

Because I don’t use stabilizers or preservatives, my products are truly natural—and a little more sensitive to temperature changes. Extreme heat may cause tallow butters to melt, while cold weather can cause them to freeze. If your butter arrives melted, simply pop it in the fridge for a few minutes to firm it up again. It may take on a slightly grainy texture after temperature changes, but rest assured, it’s still perfectly safe and wonderfully nourishing for your skin.
